Good luck at the new place.
Also lol@ 4 dollar an hour raise. Sounds like double or triple wouldnt even be worth it.

    From the phone.
Definitely not worth it. I never had any intention of staying no matter what they offered me.

The best part about the $4 an hour raise is this. Basically I had told the one guy, Dave, who usually ate lunch with about the offer. Well, he was told he was going to have to take over some of my job duties and to top it off they told him that they would "see about getting him more money in October when his review came up." They told him "there is just no money to be able to give you more right now." Well, he already knew what they offered me, but he didn't say anything because he didn't want to cause trouble for me. He was going to say something on Monday and call them on their bullshit. He even told another guy Rob about it and told him to wait until Monday to say something.

Well, he was complaining about all the shit being dumped on him and how they didn't want to give him any more money even though they offered me more money to the one guy Justin. Well, Justin ran and told his brother, Jason, who is the Sales Manager/supervisor for the division that Dave works for about what was said. Jason tried to deny that they made me that offer.

Best part, I still have the piece of paper that the offer was typed out on. Dave texted me today to apologize if that whole deal caused me any problems. I told him if that was why they told me to leave then they are even more stupid than I even though. Even though it really didn't matter, I took a picture of the paper with the offer on it and sent it to Dave just to show him I wasn't lying.

That whole situation is where I think the "poisoning the company" came from. They can try to deny it all they want. They can try to shittalk me all they want. The people still there know the truth.

Two quick little updates. Got a call from Russ again today. He just wanted to ask me how the first day went at my new job and had one quick question for me regarding how to stack this one shipment. Again, I have no issues helping him, because it is not his fault things went down like they did. Anyway, I asked him about the whole "poisoning the company" statement, since he was the one it was told to initially. He said the reason that was said was because I was "bragging about my new job."

LOL If someone asked me about my new job I told them.

Anyway, today was the first day at the new job. So far, so good. I helped make some 3" unions and cut some hoses this morning and for a little bit after lunch. Then I got sent out on a delivery and with traffic and everything I got back around 6:00. Other than dealing with morons in traffic it was a stress free day.

First off I really like my new job. It is stress free, other that dealing with morons on the road, and I couldn't be happier right now. The shop is small and the company is run how a company should be run with proper reimbursements offered and all that. I wish I would have made a move a long time ago, but maybe the wait was part of it so I could get in with this company.

Anyway onto happenings at my former place of employment. This shouldn't (and didn't) surprise me one bit, but the bad mouthing is on going at my old place of employment.

Russ texted me yesterday to ask me to grab him an application and he would stop out at my place later that evening to pick it up and BS. When he stopped he told me some interesting tidbits.

Basically the whole shop is in chaos. No one knows what the hell is going on. They still didn't have raw material. Then Dan, the supervisor, is basically changing the way EVERYTHING is done and the way things had been done since long before I started.

Russ built a bunch of shipping pallets exactly how I had laid out how they needed to be done. Dan comes over and tells him that he can't use the ones that don't have a heat treated stamp showing because customs will reject it. Another guy, Brandon, was in on the conversation and said something along the lines of, "Brian said those containers stay sealed until they get to the customer."

Dan replied, "I don't care what Brian said."

Another thing that is common at that place is still calling a now empty office the person's name who used to use it's office. Basically the office that my former supervisor used who hasn't been there for over a year is still called Jason's office, or the logistics office is still called Hillary's office, even though she hasn't been there for two years. Anyway, Russ was talking to Dan and said something about "Brian's desk" and Dan interrupted him and said, "We aren't going to do that anymore. That isn't Brian's desk anymore"

    Let the butthurt flow.

Another thing I was informed about was there was a meeting with managers and all that and they had Miguel, the pain in my ass sales rep, on the phone and apparently he got pissed and went off on everyone about how everything is so effed up and things aren't going to work this way and he hung up on them and wouldn't answer when they tried to call him back.

I will wrap it up with the best thing. Jason, the one supervisor who tried to deny that I was offered more money was talking mad sh!t on me apparently. He told Russ that I tried to scapegoat Mark, the owner, by using the "excuse" that the bills not being paid on time was why stuff wasn't done and that it was my fault because I didn't leave enough lead time. I guess Russ went off on him and basically told him he needed to stop talking about things that he had no clue about and walked away. Obviously the bills not being paid on time is EXACTLY why sh!t couldn't get done.

Anyway, tonight I go out to my buddy's shop to watch some dyno runs. Saw a 700 hp GTR there. Anyway, my buddy who owns the shop also happens to be Jason's brother. Jason was in the dyno room when I walked in. I looked at him and just smirked and walked over to where my cousin was standing. My cousin's GF told me Jason was glaring in my direction for a few minutes, then he walked out of the room and I didn't see him again the rest of the night. LOL

The sad part is that there is no way I could make any of this up. LOL

Oh and I did forget to add that Dave who has been mentioned in here texted me yesterday too and asked, "Are you sure they aren't doing anymore hiring out there right now? I am about to walk out the damn door."

Good on you for getting the heck out of there finally! Sounds to me like Dan is going to re-invent all the processess and come full circle back to what you were doing

Maybe with all that stress out of your life you'll be able to get funding and motivation to get your 3S going

I don't think there's a better feeling in the whole world than being able to walk away from a job like that.
Life's too short to work for assholes. No anger, no revenge, just a big grin on your face as you walk away.
    Enjoy!
