Definitely not worth it. I never had any intention of staying no matter what they offered me.
The best part about the $4 an hour raise is this. Basically I had told the one guy, Dave, who usually ate lunch with about the offer. Well, he was told he was going to have to take over some of my job duties and to top it off they told him that they would "see about getting him more money in October when his review came up." They told him "there is just no money to be able to give you more right now." Well, he already knew what they offered me, but he didn't say anything because he didn't want to cause trouble for me. He was going to say something on Monday and call them on their bullshit. He even told another guy Rob about it and told him to wait until Monday to say something.
Well, he was complaining about all the shit being dumped on him and how they didn't want to give him any more money even though they offered me more money to the one guy Justin. Well, Justin ran and told his brother, Jason, who is the Sales Manager/supervisor for the division that Dave works for about what was said. Jason tried to deny that they made me that offer.
Best part, I still have the piece of paper that the offer was typed out on. Dave texted me today to apologize if that whole deal caused me any problems. I told him if that was why they told me to leave then they are even more stupid than I even though. Even though it really didn't matter, I took a picture of the paper with the offer on it and sent it to Dave just to show him I wasn't lying.
That whole situation is where I think the "poisoning the company" came from. They can try to deny it all they want. They can try to shittalk me all they want. The people still there know the truth.
