Okay. As most of you know I hate my job. Some of you who post in chat know a little of what has been going on the past few weeks. This is more of the story in chronological order.
Enjoy
This whole scenario leads to thisOriginally Posted by Stealthee on March 20, 2014
I'll just add to this thread
We haven't had raw material since Monday the 17th. Our vendor had some issues and we were going to be without material for over a week.
Fast forward to this week. I hear from the vendor on Monday that they have a load produced (which ironically is the WRONG load, but I can work with it), but they need payment to release it. Payment is sent out Monday and they tell me they will arrange shipping as soon as they have the check in their hands. Tuesday afternoon I get an email saying the material will be picked up Wednesday morning and will delivered Thursday or Friday. I said I need it Thursday.
I pass the info along to my superiors to they know what to expect. My team leader and I are called up to our supervisors office and are told we need to take Wednesday off, and work Saturday, because of blah, blah, blah. We regretfully agree, finish the day, and go home.
Well apparently, material showed up at 9:30 am yesterday (the day we were told to stay home), unbeknownst to me.
Now, I am being blamed for this happening. They are saying that I knew it was going to be there and I just blew it off, because I didn't want to work Wednesday.
Um HELLO, I would have made the call as soon as I got word it was coming in Wednesday if I had known it was coming in.
To top it off, my team leader confronted our supervisor and asked why he didn't just call us to come in when the material showed up, and he basically blew it off and gave him a bull**** excuse. He blamed me, saying basically he knows I knew it was coming (I didn't.) He also said I never take accountability for my actions (I am one of the only people in the company to actually take accountability. Everyone else plays the blame game)
He also told the team leader that Mark (the owner) was trying to get ahold of me ALL DAY Wednesday and I never answered his calls. He said I am OBLIGATED to answer my phone. Well first of all Mark NEVER called me once during the day. Second, this is MY ******* phone. Work doesn't pay one cent of my bill for me using it for work.
To top all of this off, not one word has been said to me. I have been hearing all of this through other people who feel I have a right to know. It took all my being not to walk out the door today.
I got two words. I'M DONE!
I applied for two jobs yesterday while I was off and was talking to my brother today and he told me his company is hiring. Also actually talked to my former supervisor last night when he called me out of the blue and said he can get me into the mine. I just need something to get me out of there FAST!

A little follow up to my happening, I dropped off the application and my resume where my brother works on Tuesday. I got a call today and they already ran my background and want me to take a piss test by Saturday (I am going tomorrow.) Hoping I know something by next week.
Also, there has still been nothing said to my face about the happenings of last week. Really, f$cking sad.

I put my two weeks in today. Handed notice to my direct supervisor, the same guy who talked sh!t on me to my production team leader, and he looked at me with a look of shock on his face and asked, "Are you serious?" Company owner hasn't talked to me yet. He wasn't in today, though I am sure he knows. He is going to beg me to stay, offer me more money, etc, but I will not be swayed.
Start the new job 4/21, sooner if the boss gets mad at me and tells me not to come back. LOL
A few days later thisOriginally Posted by Stealthee on April 8, 2014
My supervisor came over to me today. He said he called the owner yesterday, and told him about my situation. He said the two of them wanted to have a meeting with me, probably tomorrow, to discuss what they can do.
This next part is the funniest. He said he started making a list of everything that I am responsible for and that it was a "very lengthy list." He also said that he looked at my filed and that "I am long overdue for a review."
They are scared sh!tless because they know they aren't going to be able to replace me. I think the owner thinks that if they throw me more money that I am going to stay. He has is about get a rude awakening.
I was still trying my best to get stuff done and that leads to thisOriginally Posted by Stealthee on April 10, 2014
Found out some interesting information today. Apparently they think my job is cakework because they don't even intend on hiring someone to replace me. The owner still wants to talk to me, but I don't think he is going to like what I have to say.
This all leads up to todayOriginally Posted by Stealthee on April 14, 2014
Today was fun.
I went in an hour early because I knew there was a certain amount of stuff I had to get done by a certain time and it wasn't going to happen if I went in at regular time. I was already told that I could "do what it took" to get the orders out the door.
I'm flying right along getting the stuff done when the one guy tells me there is a truck there. I walk out to find out both trucks are there. I was ready for the one, but the other wasn't scheduled until 10 and it was the one I came in early for. I went and got a guy to take over what I was doing so I could get the first truck out of there and the other work wouldn't fall off. Lo and behold the supervisor comes to me and says, "I see you have two trucks out there. Do you need any help to get the loaded and out of here."
LOL I have NEVER been offered help before. I declined and told him I had it under control. Ten minutes later one of the guys from the other side of the building comes over anyway and says, "Dan said you guys need help." I was like whatever and put him on something. I could tell he was just sucking up and trying to prove he was serious about getting me help, even though I know it is all a farce.
Right before lunch I got pulled into the supervisor's office with him and the owner. They made all kinds of promises and tried to feed me lines about how the company is growing (it isn't) and how there are a lot of opportunities (there are not) and blah blah blah. I let them talk for a little and then interrupted them and informed them that I was still planning on moving on from the company.
The looks on their faces were priceless. They thought it was "in the bag" so to speak that if they made me these promises and promised me more money that I was going to stay. I looked over at the supervisor as I was walking out of the office and see him doing this.
Then at the end of the day the supervisor handed me a piece of paper with an offer on it. Again it had most of the same BS on it except this one had a number of $4 an hour pay increase. I was asked to "consider it overnight."
My mind is still made up. I am still moving on.

Yesterday they thought they were going to take MY phone.
They said, "We provided you with that phone."
I said, "You paid for me to upgrade MY phone line that I have had for 12 years. I paid the monthly bill." (The only reason they paid for the upgrade is so they could get ahold of me better)
They said, "Well there is proprietary information on your phone like vendor contacts, customer contacts, email, etc"
I said, "The only thing on my phone is email and we can delete that account right now."
They said, "You didn't use your phone to call vendors or customers?"
I said. "I used the phone at my desk since this is MY personal phone. The only non personal people I talked on it was was people within the company."
They said, "Oh, well, do you have a problem with Justin (IT) going through it real quick and deleting any company pertinent information?"
I said, "Let's do it now."
I finish the day out yesterday and have a few last loose ends to tie up today to close out my job, I drive to work today. I hand my keycard to the supervisor so I don't forget at the end of the day, and he tells me I can go home that we are done. I tried to tell him that I was revising the production schedule and PO's so production wouldn't be screwed up, and he told me not to worry about it. THEY ARE SCREWED.
To top it off I already got a text from the maintenance guy saying someone is about to lose their mind and he has his popcorn ready. Then I got a call from the production team leader (whom I got to speak with on my way out the door for a minute) and he had questions regarding the shipping pallets because they didn't give me a chance to go over stuff with him.
LOL
