You need a shiftbox of some sort for spirited driving if you don't have one already.
Your trans isn't going to last long at 6-700awtq if you try to use the TCU to control WOT shifts with it reducing line pressure to make it comfortable.

1992 Kilder Green VR4 - First 4G swap in a 3S. 2.0, auto, awd. 9.65 at 143mph. Now LS swapped. 8.52 at 162.
I'm not looking for reducing line pressure. i was going to stick with kiggly's recommendations for valve-body mods. I also doubt very much that I will be exceeding 600HP, let alone TQ. I doubt this will be going past 18PSI...ever.
Looking up Roadrunner right now....
Sounds like a good plan.
This may be a dumb question...but can you keep roughly the same stall speed on a converter & increase the torque multiplier--or is the ratio a fixed and proportionate one?
Beyond my understanding.
Torque multiplication only happens when the converter is slipping. The bigger the difference between impeller, and turbine Rpms , the higher the multiplication. So basically, if you stall at a standstill, you get lots of torque multiplication until you get coupling with the impeller, and turbine. A third set of fins in the converter called a stator has a lot to do with the multiplication factor. However I had to run a 2step, and low timing at launch to not go up in smoke with 245 tires on a 3000lb car, with a restall. More torque would not have helped the launch.
