We need to do a better job of regulating knives. Bet there wasn't even a background check done prior to him being allowed to carry these assault weapons.

In all seriousness, this is an awful tragedy. Luckily it looks like everyone will survive, but they will be scarred for life both physically and emotionally.

Yeah, I saw that, my first thought was "wtf, c'mon people......first sandy hook and the rash of similar events around it, then all the issues regarding the wrongs of the zero tolerance policies, now this?!?!?!"

This is proving why our school system can't have nice things.

In all seriousness, this is showing further and further evidence about gratuitious mental instability in teens/kids.

Teens are a product of their parents. On a not unrelated note, Freakonomics pointed out that the precipitous drop in crime after the late 80's was due to Roe V Wade.

When parents start smacking their kids around for being little whiny bitches; when the standards stop being lowered; when the government finally decides that "some children should be left behind: because moron".....THEN maybe some of this will end. Instead, what we have are children raised with kid-gloves who never got a tanned backside from being a brat.

This happened an hour from me, so people in the area are overreacting more than others. A bunch of people are talking about pulling their kid(s) out of school to be home schooled. Sorry people, but home schooling is not the answer.

The everyone gets a prize mentality needs to go away. Kids need to learn what it feels like to lose. Kids need to get their ass beat when they are bad.

“Don’t let your kids deal with the rich kids they will harass them til they can’t take it no more.”

Already being turned into a race issue. Yet another problem with society. Entitlement.
