Not impossible, Audi, Merc, and BMW sell quite a few of them here. I'm mean not nearly as much as their dumb SUV offerings, but there's enough smart people to keep them worth being here.

I stopped three places yesterday and got stopped three times asking if they still made my car. Once I heard, "wow, I forgot how good those looked".

Even by people you wouldn't think would like it. They could build the same thing again and it would sell to anyone that could afford it.

I can't go anywhere and not get positive comments about the car.

That speaks to both the timelessness of the design and the lack of inspiration among new offerings.

I drove mine to work today and some guy honked to get my attention and then gave a big thumbs up when I looked over.

Literally complements and heads turning every day. Just something about a nice clean 3/s.

I also used to get compliments all the time in my old vr4. IMO few cars have as much 'presence' as a cosmetically well-mainteind 3/S. It is definitely something I'm going to miss after I go with an evo.
