Yup, I've been eyeballing that setup for a while.

Has great reviews on garage forums as well.

Basically you install threaded sinks into your floor so you can remove the lift for storage against your wall out of the way.

I want one of these but it's competing against money for a standalone, v-band turbo kit, twin disk clutch, or a bigger motor. It sure would be nice to have and would make my life easier doing engine work plus a 5-speed swap. I may consider one later this summer.

    Yup.

These cost more, but you are able to put them up when not in use so. You can free up garage space.

you can find full rise 2post lifts for around 1300-1500$ + freight at the cheapest but that MaxJax lift is also perfect for those who don't have the ceiling height needed for a full rise lift

I was going to buy one of these but when I spoke with a few lift companies they suggested I go with a scissor lift. After two months with the lift I'm still very happy. Two post units even with cross bars at the top should still have a cement pad of at least 6"-8" thick that they bolt into. The standard thickness for a garage floor is 4" in pretty much every state.

Of course there are people out there that have concerns about access. But I have experienced no limitations with my scissor lift. I was able to remove the exhaust and drive shaft, transfer case, transmission etc with no restrictions or issues.

These pictures were taken before the 6" extension posts came for the pads. So far I've had no issues it has a solid safety lock out every few inches you just lower it to the next spot to lock it out. In this picture I don't have it raised all the way because my wife wasn't aware I was in the garage, didn't want her putting the door into the top of the car. These days I pull the release on the opener so it can't open the door if I need to raise the car higher. It's pretty easy for me at 5'10 to sit on a creeper stool and work on things. There is more than enough clearance to remove the engine from the under side of the car by raising it off.
