    except #9, #10, #11, #12, #13, #14...

TCU got beat by Baylor, which by the big 12's rules alone disqualify them. so Baylor > TCU... And Baylor didn't have strength of schedule nor a championship win...

Cardale is staying, Urban has his hands full with 3 Heisman candidate qbs and a Heisman running back.

It'll be another 9 months until anyone even knows if Braxton can even throw a ball.

As soon as Strong started building some recruiting momentum, Muschamp going to Auburn shit all over it. So far 2 have decommitted for Auburn and a 3rd is expected. Texas' recently dubbed "Florida 5" looks destined to be 3 or less... Lots of people suspecting Auburn bagmen, but honestly, the Malzahn-Muschamp combo is extremely technically impressive on both sides of the ball. Meanwhile Texas looks sound on defense, humiliating on offense, and unless the OL and Swoopes can make a big leap, Texas' O will suck again in 2015.

Mack left 3 scholarship QB's. Once Ash went down (not a huge surprise), there were only 2. In 2015, Swoopes will be a junior (should be a RS-Soph) and the only realistic replacement on the roster will be a heralded RS-Fresh: (back to back TX 4A state champ)
'13 Senior Hilites - Jerrod Heard highlights

You can only hope Watson (not a great OC) uses a lot more of the zone read and lets the QB actually make a read, but there's just no depth, so I'm sure we'll stick with the pro-style/west coast that takes forever to install... As bad as Swoopes was at times, Strong couldn't risk getting him hurt because the next man up would've been a walk-on to preserve Heard's shirt.

A few seniors on defense (Malcom Brown, Jordan Hicks, Quandre Diggs) stayed healthy and covered up some major depth issues at every level. Texas's struggles to recruit QB, OL, DT, and DB's the last several seasons under Mack have, or are ALL about to show up on the field. An apparently weak juco QB market leaves Strong with very few answers at QB. A ~7 man OL recruiting class with 2 jucos can only do so much in one season, so there's no reason to have expectations for the OL until 2016. While I understand what Strong inherited, I really wonder how the millions of ignorant fans will feel about him by then. Virtually everyone has already decided Swoopes is not the QB, so he'll get boo'ed off the field Garrett Gilbert (on the Patriots practice squad BTW) style if he starts slow.

Yeah if Texas can't turn around in a year or two he is gone. I rofl at Michigan thinking they are over the hill.

I think TCU, Baylor doing well doesn't help.

I also don't think Longhorn fans have that much patience. Longhorn football is huge and is supposed to be the Alabama of the big 12

OSU seriously getting Urban was a great deal at the right time, The recruiting classes hadn't crashed. The rest of the conference being a little easier helps also. I mean go to Michigan and you don't even get to play bowl games.

Strong better turn it around this year or he is going to be a Hoke...

That's because you're an idiot. There's absolutely no reason to assume we'll be in the dumps this season. We have a lot of talent on the team as it sits. Our OL should continue to improve, as should pretty much every position. The only real question mark is at QB and we'll see how that goes.

    Sorry not sorry.

This is one of the reasons we hired him. His name recruits itself, and our defense has been so abysmal the past four years (except for 2010 which was very average and the worst defense to likely ever win a championship) that we're selling immediate playing time to the big time recruits.

Besides, after you poached two of our defensive coordinators back-to-back, it's only fair that we return the favor some way.
