    Are Stretched Tires Dangerous?

I found a set of wheels I really want with a set of shitty all season tires stretched (215 on 9" wheel). Obviously I don't want stretched tires OR all seasons, but I figure I can just burn these off and buy the right tires later in life.

Would it be unsafe to autocross/road race/etc. with this setup?

    Thanks!

I'd think there would be an increased chance of the tire coming off the bead. The wheel is over an 1" too wide.

What is the brand of tire, you can lookup recommended wheel specs?

    Here is a decent baseline:

I wouldn't, if you look at your sig pic with high side loadings you'll peel the bead off the rim more than likely.

If you mount 1 tyre and look at it you'll see why it's a bad idea..

Ya I figured it probably wasn't the greatest idea. Just thought it may save me some money.. but if the tire comes off the rim on the road course it kind of negates the savings lol

They might be alright to put around in but definitely not any racing. You will end up wrecking the wheels on any number of things. I would just replace them and sell the tires on craigslist.

Drifters seem to do just fine with stretched tires, but 215 on a 9" rim is going to look ridiculous. It could be worse though:

the tread will almost undoubtedly look like a pringle, because of how far the sidewalls have to be pulled sideways from the tread.

I don't think I'm going to do it. Not worth the risk..
