    GI- Stealth reverse light update

Ok, to get it out of the way first, this isn't a styling thing. I am not capable.

Over the 11 years I have owned my Stealth and been in love with it, only one thing stands out to me for what I feel was the most(only) lacking function of the cars' exterior. The reverse lights. It is my opinion that they just don't put off enough light to be usable. My plans are to make a reverse light that is tremendously brighter than the factory, the "brighter" after market bulbs, and current LED replacements. My plans are drop in units that all you do is take your lens off, remove the old bulb, plug in the new, and reinstall the cover.

So far I have two (left and right) working prototypes. Below I have comparisons between no light, stock 921, and the set I am making. These are just to help with letting people see the difference, as they are not installed on the car yet and I am going to get a better location to take pictures. I am also trying to refine the design right now, as it is a little crude, and made from some new and some not-made-any-more parts.

As everyone has probably wanted to know by now, price. For my new parts, it ran me $60(total for both sides) after shipping. I had some stuff on hand though. There are some changes in components that can drop $10 per light, but I wanted my set up to be as bright as possible while only running at 1 Amp per light. Price can be knocked down further if I get enough interest so I could utilize bulk buying and pass the savings to you. The current bulb I have as my reverse light is this one from superbrightleds.com - 194 LED Bulb - 19 SMD LED Wedge Base Tower | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs it is $19.95 per light. (they seem to have a newer one, but it is still not even close in brightness to the prototype. and its $26 each).

I am willing to make them in other colors/temps. Mine are 6000K white. Along with that I could offer different amounts of brightness. And I was thinking about offering a 1 year warranty. You would pay the shipping to me, and I would pay it for return.

Camera settings I used were: 6 second exposure, f4.0, daylight white balance, ISO 100. I got these settings from a mountain biking forum where people post up lights they have built for night time riding, and it is to get a good view of the light and pattern. They are not on the car, but about the right height, and to be noted is this is only ONE light.

    Control.(ambient light)

    Stock 921, only one.

Upgraded light. Again, this is only one.

Any feedback is welcome. Let me know!
