Simulated Narrowband - im over it

    Hello All,

Has anyone got a plx narrowband simulation to work on the chrome software?

My MID trims are good, but low trims are terrible. I've tried tuning it via the VE table for the low trim and get a very choppy afr.

I suspect that the wideband isn't working well at low exhaust flow, and therefore the low trim gets screwed around. Soo bad that it has a miss ( fixed by resetting the trims )

I'm soo over it that I am going to buy two stock narrowband sensors and put them in the o2 housing. What sensors should I get and what pins do I wire them too.

Any suggestions that I could try?

    Glen

Can't you look at the wideband output to seem if it seems reasonable? I have stock O2s and my trims blow lol Could be a million different problems other than the O2s.

are you running one or 2? if you are only running one it is not going to work well. Also, the distance of the sensor vs the stock narrowband distance may be causing some issues.

Vac/intake leaks and FPR over run can be difficult to tune out as well.

I suspected fpr overrun so I upgraded to a new fuel system - no change. Boost leak check checked ok.

I'm only running one wideband in the jdm location ( just pre main cat ). ECU set to use just one narrowband input.

Any other suggestions? I'm running evo 560cc injectors, this should be fine?

The single NB setup just may not work all that great. I don't know anyone who is having great luck with it.

Hmm, reckon I could plug in the one jdm narrowband into the two 99 inputs - would that work? Or does the ecu expect different outputs from them?

No, I'm saying Mitsubishi probably found the dual sensor setup to work better. Not that the code needs to see two signals. Just that the front/rear trim variance was very significant.

Just install dual sensors. It's easier to sort out tuning issues etc. Better yet install a sensor on each cylinder lol.
