    Replace headbolts or not.

I have a 92 Dodge Stealth 3.0 SOHC with a probable blown head gasket.

I looked through the Dodge Service manual and there is no mention of replacing the head bolts and they do not appear to be Torque To Yield specs anyway. Normally on most more modern engines I replace the bolts with ARP's but there are none available for the Mitsu 3.0's

I am not a fan of the quality of parts store replacement bolts so.....

Does Mitsubishi recommend replacement? Dodge service manuals don't mention it.
Anybody make a better replacement bolts than OEM?

    Thanks in advance.

look at the 6g72 engine manual (5th link) Ninja Performance Shop Manuals
start at page 19 for torque specs, page 21 has sohc engine cylinder head at 80 foot pounds

there are arp head studs available for the 6g72, though it's a bit overkill on a SOHC; OEM is more than enough

Most of the time the head gaskets go on the SOHC because the heads get warped. The head bolts on the SOHC are stronger than the DOHC. I'd reuse them.
