FWIW, I think the Bob Lee Swagger books would make an excellent serial prospect for films - better than most of the stuff they've tried to milk over the years.

At 6 seconds, with that rifle, his skills, and at a moving target NO WAY IN HELL...

Now, at 11 seconds as stated in the link above the possibility comes to light. The condition of the rifle still makes it questionable to me, but the shot is in the window of possible..

If I look at the post you refer to, you seem to be indicating the dilemma should be resolved in order to satisfy your curiosity as well as that of others who are not quite sick of a subject which brings to mind an old Mark Twain quote:

"Many commentators have shed much darkness upon the subject, and if they continue, we shall soon know nothing at all about it".

I have heard every speculation, and watched every televised effort to get at the "truth" - you apparently have not, in which case I urge you to continue your search.

My own opinion (remember now, you asked for this) has degenerated from a curiosity not unlike your own, to an apathy I cannot describe, and which leads me to ask the question I've asked.

Tell me, Scott - if we found out tomorrow that Sam Giancana stumbled on whatever plot that gave birth to Oswald's effort, and decided to augment it with one of his own, just because JFK was banging Judith Exner, what do you think would happen then?

I think where you and I are struggling with this is, like the Nicklebach thread, people are over thinking things. I asked a pretty simple question about something that intrigues me. If it doesn't intrigue you, if you are over the question I asked or don't care about it, move along. I haven't forced ANYONE to respond or said ANYWHERE that it's something we all NEED to discuss. It was the 50 year anniversary not too long ago and I had seen a couple of interesting doco's. I was mainly curious about members parents and what they had maybe passed on to their kids - maybe something they had heard when it was at that time. Something, anything, whatever. I think you also forget that I'm not in your country. I mean I can't even ask why people liked George W Bush without getting called a troll.

Now, to those names you mentioned, I haven't heard of them or know who they are, but going on those hypotheticals, it would interest me of course, because it's another angle of a story that interests me.

Let's also not forget that the people who claimed to hear as many as 6 shots were probably hearing echo's. Those who claimed to see "puffs of smoke" on the knoll were probably seeing debris from the 1st shot that missed.

Mark is still making movies and I believe his next big release is Transformers 4. The buger thing is with the thrid Wahlberg brother if I remember the promo I saw correctly.

And after what Hollywood did to the Bourne series I don't know that you would like their interpretation of Bob Lee Swagger series.

I think the round that killed JFK was an accidental discharged round from a secret service agents rifle. I believe it came from the security detachment behind him. Absolutely makes sense as to why the Secret Service dicked with the autopsy, chain of custody, and destroyed the investigation records just before they were going to be unsealed. Not a conspiracy at all, just a weapons handling mistake. I also believe Oswald was also a shooter.
