Died while idling, won't restart

I know you don't want to hear it, but check the ECU.

The ecu is a reman , only a couple years old. But I'll check it out. I pulled the mfi relay out and tested the coils. One had around 70ohms, the other one had 1200ohms, then trickled down to 1040ohms. Think I'm gonna start there and charge the battery in the mean time.

This might help. It's worth a shot.

You can test the MFI relay independent of the car. Pull your battery and grab some spare wire a couple feet long. When connecting and disconnecting the - wire on the battey terminal the relay should click.

+ to 9, - to 6

I picked one up from gzp and installed it. Still no start. I have fuel pressure though. But no cel with key on. The scanmaster is showing 315deg coolant temp also. I think I'm gonna have to swap ecus with somebody.

It could even just be the coolant temp sensor has failed.

Good news. Just for the hell of it I went back out to start it and the cel flashed in my face. Turned key off then back on, the light stayed off. I went back over the ecu fuses and #12 under the dash was making contact intermittently. I bent the tabs a bit to get some pressure on the contacts and it fired right up.
