    Earth wind map is too cool..

    Right by KY there is like a rift of two wind fronts clashing. I wonder what that means weather wise?

    interesting...but im not sure the purpose, since it doesn't show speed or pressure

    EDIT...i did not know you could zoom in wherever you want, thats much cooler

    but then im used to staring at these dam things...

    Low pressure systems are just that, low pressure - they pull air IN towards them.

    High pressure systems push air AWAY from them. Add in some spiraling from the rotation of the Earth and voila! Science!

    That is what you're seeing.

    If you click on the earth in the lower left, you can play around with all the different maps/settings.
