The rear quarter window position switches are different. The 95's use the magnetic switches to know if the rear quarter windows are open or closed. The 96's use the roller switches (like used on the rear trunk and header system) to do that.
I had it all apart within 5 minutes of owning the car haha.
I know a lot of the plugs for the body were different that sit behind the driver side rear quarter interior panel.
The switches for the tonnau latches (to know if its open or closed) are different as well. I think I photographed the differences at one point in time. I just don't know what I did with them![]()

Mine is August 94. It is one of the earliest cars built according to Frank's Mitsubishi 3000GT Spyder Registry I suspect that my car was upgraded at some point. I found a TSB SC-96-002 titled Retractable Service Upgrade issued in May 96 - maybe that was it.
