you answered your own question, and this is not coming from one of the vr4 nutswingers. i love supras and would have a hard time selling either car, but if i had to choose (depending on mods, time and money involved, and overall condition of the car) i would most of the time take the vr4.

keep the vr4. you like it more. and you will get more money in your pocket. either way the 335 gets a garage spot, and the wife cant take the vr4 on any joy rides . IF the 335 breaks down, you can find some other temporary solution. PLUS with getting more money to work on your backyard, you will increase the value of your house, and probably get most of that money right back out of it. so its really a win win.
Sound logic here. You could do a lot with 30k+. Not to mention you have the VR-4 pretty much the way you want it.

I like it and it's not going anywhere, but I often find the atx making me miss driving the stick M3 I'm selling. I personally like having a car, truck, and a bike to cover all bases and make sure I'm never without transportation.

Money doesnt mean anything man. Keep what one you love more .

Or keep both and keep the 335i OUTSIDE. . Or add on to the garage.

    Thanks for all the replies!

Adding on to the garage is really not an option given our lot and the way the house is built. We didn't have enough vision when we were house hunting last time.

I'm really surprised no one has said keep the Supra. It's 1 of 34 brought here in 1997, and who knows how many are left at this point.

I'm going to turn wrenches more on the VR-4 today when I get home. My goal is to have the rear 9B back on the car and button it up before 9:00 PM. Should be an interesting evening...

Keep the Supra ... will be more dependable in the long run and as you were stating appreciate in value unlike the VR4 (seems lately prices on them are dropping like a rock ie 99VR4 for around 15k or less ).. You can always get another VR4 down the road..

I truly wonder how much higher a Supra will appreciate. $30k+ cash in your hand certainly wouldn't be something to sneeze at.

Shoot, considering the cars in your garage, I'd probably sell the Supra and VR-4 and get something else, but that's just me. $40k+ cash in your pocket, buy something reasonable in the $10-15k range, put some money into your house, put some money against your mortgage or retirement accounts.

    Just adding another perspective.

If you're going to keep one, I'd keep the Supra, you can get a VR-4 anytime in just about any condition.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” -- Author Unknown

good point. 30k is a huge chunk of a mortgage paid off. or a comfortable emergency fund. or a considerable contribution towards retirement.
