    94 3000gt vr4 $10700

Edit: Spring is finally here in Vermont. I'm willing to sell just the car by itself now. Car has ~ 132k miles on it now.

I'd like to sell my 94 Mitsubishi 3000gt vr4. It has 128k miles on it. The motor in it is from a 97 vr4 that has 68k miles on it now. I dropped it in 10k miles ago. At that time I did the timing belt job and replaced the rear main seal. I also did a full 99 conversion and painted the car myself. That summer I made road trip from Vermont to Florida and back in a 3 day weekend with this car

I bought it initially back in 2003. In 2010 I traded it to Joe (byebyesti) for a Subaru. Joe put some money into it (volk te37 rims, coilovers, front mount, billet endcase on tranny etc...) and then hooked the battery up backwards. He never got it running afterwards. He removed the stuff he had just bought for it and sold it to my friend Patrick who never did anything with it. I bought it from Patrick last Fall, got it working and have been daily driving it ever since.

    The good:
    -------------------

-full 99 conversion (bumper w/ oem 99 brackets, headlights, turn signals, sail panels, oem 99 wing)
-new Southbend DXD stage 4 fe clutch w/ new oem tob
    -lower mileage engine and tranny
-Oohnoo vr4 dual core intercooler that mates up to stock sidemount piping
    -K&N filter
    -3sx rear adjustable control arms
-ecs struts with eibach springs (56k miles on struts, < 2k on springs)
    -5k HID kit
-Cusom 3" catback with CF muffler
-Catless downpipe with 18" vibrant resonator built in
-Optima Yellow Top battery (few months old)
-Moda R6 rims sprayed bronze with brand new 245/45/18 sumitomo htr+ all seasons.
    -EGR Delete/Vac Reduction
-new front wheel bearings and tie rod ends
-No rust on the car, I fluid filmed it last Fall as well to prep it for this winter
    -alpine head unit
    -no cracked defroster vents
-rare black oem headliner and matching visors
    -3sx poly motor mounts
-new transfercase (Brand New a few years ago thanks to Mitsu recall, they decided to replace it because it had a little bit of play)
-new redline fluids (rear diff, transfercase, and transmission. Bought package from 3sx)
-aluminum shifter base bushings and shifter linkage bushings
    -new thermostat
    -new door window trim mouldings
-Center gauges have been replaced with NA gauges as a volt gauge is more useful than a useless turbo gauge
-NA steering wheel to cleanly get rid of the radio buttons that don't work with an aftermarket deck
    - new leather installed a few months ago

    The "bad"
    ------------------

-a/c is there but needs to be charged, Supposed to replace dryer ($30) when doing this too.

-joe shut something in the hood and put a huge outward dent in it. I scrapped that hood and it has a used dent free oem black hood on it that I plastidipped for a matte look. A cf hood would be a good upgrade for it but I can't justify buying one for a car I don't intend to keep.

-Friend that bought car from joe had it towed to his house. For some reason they ran a strap up over the hood. It didn't dent anything, but the strap rubbed pretty well on the fenders. I buffed it and it looks much better but there are some small markes on the fenders still I'll gt pics.

-There is a small 1" hairline crack on each side piece to the 99 wing where it mounds to the trunklid. They haven't got any worse in 3 years, I'll take a picture. Other people have had this problem too. Some drill holes in the bottom and pour in liquid epoxy to make them solid.

-Joe put the 99 sail panels on and had those painted to match the panama green color. They look ok but were not done as well as they could have been.

-abs fuse is pulled and I've cut the abs sensor wiring off in preparation for doing abs delete.

-carpet is clean, but the oem floor mats are falling apart. Back sides are brittle.

-ECS light is flashing sport/tour. I haven't looked into it, but worst case I have 2-3 extra sets of ecs caps, 2-3 extra ecs computers, and another full set of good ecs struts you can have.

-The bottom 2 threads of the coil filter housing were cross threaded at one time. I removed the threads with a dremel. I've done 2 oil changes since and the filter screws on easy just like normal. There are plenty of other threads to secure the filter. I have an extra oil filter housing that will go with the car, but I wouldn't bother installing it unless you ever had to remove the housing for something else.

I'm trying to be as honest as possible about the car. There is nothing seriously wrong with it, just a bunch of little things that a DIY person could take are of. I really want to get a 2001.5 Santorin blue audi s4 or a Legacy GT for a daily driver car. I love 3000gts and will always have my black one, but a 4 door vehicle with heated seats would be more practical for a DD that I primarily drive in the winter.

    Asking $9500 obo

I have an extra 3.1L motor with forged internals, and a mint set of Radius R6 wheels with dunlop direzza star spec z1 tires that I could include for a little extra money.

I fixed the door lock problem this morning. Took almost an hour, guess I should have doen it sooner. Door unlocks fine now without auto locking again.

Also here are some pics of the pain defects.

Passenger fender, scuffs from ratchet strap

Drivers side fender, more scuffs from ratchet strap

Rear drivers side 99 wing, hairline crack not real noticable

rear passenger side wing, more noticable crack. I'm going to put some touchup paint on it, crack hasn't grown any worse in years.

It has new leather installed now, as well as a new shift/ebrake boot and knob/handle. I'm also going to order some floormats for it.

Thanks. I had made Joe a lowish offer after he semi parted it, but he sold it to Patrick for a little more. Kind of my fault though since I was the one who told Patrick it was for sale lol. It ended up working out well in the end because Patrick bought a transmission for it and had it towed to his house which was a lot closer to me.

Here are some pics of it with the radius r6 rims. The tein springs were just put on and still settling in this pic. The rims are probably the nicest set around unless someone has a set still in the box. No curb rash on any rim.

A pic of it back in the day when it had intrax springs and my custom front mount on it.

The sail panels Joe still has that I need to get

A pic of it a few days before I sold it to Joe. I had replica chrome rims on it then. I'd really like to see this car in some bronze or gunmetal rota grids or p45s.

I like the wheels Joe had on it. It sucks somebody put straps around it. If that was a pro towing company I don't ever want to use them. Who does that shit?

It was Patricks friend who towed it, not any company. He lived in NH at the time with his gf and was working on the car. He removed the hood, pulled the motor, and set the hood back in place. They broke up and Patrick moved back home to Vermont. He had his friend tow it for him. Rather than bolting the hood back on, the guy relied on the latch and a strap over the front of the car to hold the hood down. It worked, just rubbed the paint where the strap was. The hood was worse but it didn't matter because Joe already closed something in it ruining it. It kind of sucks because I had just painted the whole car before selling it to Joe. The car still looks really good though and the fenders don't really stand out. It just sucks that it happened.

And yeah I like the volks too, but I couldn't justify paying that much money for them. Even for my black car.

I have no idea what the offset was. I think they are 18x8.5 though.
