I'm kind of tempted to try it but worried about it being too loud.. I do live in Sunny CA. haha.
I knew a couple people running straight pipe 3"/4" exhaust and they were LOUD. They weren't running the HKS SD muffler/tip though..

My 3.5" was quieter & deeper than my current 3" setup.
FWIW I remember a lot of people way back in the day saying that the HKS super drager was more restrictive and quieter than stock. ray proved that for most people a catback wont net you a lot of gains, but if the super drager is more restrictive than stock you might pick up a noticeable amount of power.
That being said i couldnt really feel much of a difference between a full stock exhaust and a aftermarket DP with the IPS E-cutout. the dp and cutout made the car sound better but that was about all i noticed.
the basic go fast bits...
forged short block, Billet DR1000's, 680cc injectors, meth inj, FMIC, MAFT, Apexi Neo, hotwired 255lph fuel pump.

Just a fun Daily Driver.
^You're thinking of the other HKS exhaust.
Yes. The HKS Quad tip was the more restrictive one..
A guy who I WAS friends with (ChatzVR4) was running a 4" straight pipe with an diesel tip and that thing was LOUD. Could hear him from like 5 blocks away. My car I'll be sitting outside your house revving and you might not even notice I'm already there.
