How likely is it for me to break TC?

Basically BPU power, summer tires, very slight weight reduction, 25 spline, 300M shaft, Megan coilovers, Nelson's brace, probably 3SX poly mounts, and probably a XTD stage 3 (6 puck) clutch. Would I be able to launch off the two step without worry?

My goal is to be able to drive the car hard and enjoy it without breaking stuff constantly. I will be putting a new trans/300M shaft/TC in and I will be pissed if I break this brand new TC lol! At the same time I can't swing a billet case and the cost of rebuilding it. If there is a high chance of it breaking I just won't launch for now I guess.

I've had 200 launches on my old 18 spline with no problems, looked great when it came out as well.

Poly/ Solid engine mounts will help you out a lot.

Don't think you can ever launch with no worries though .

If you want a little extra insurance get a brace for it. I may have one of the full ones from Maximal that I'm selling if my other buyer drops out. If not from me, they aren't that expensive new.

At BPU levels with my cage I launched all the time with no problems. You'll be fine.

So is the general consensus that it will be fine? Just wondering if I should save for a while and get the housings before I install everything. I know once I put it all in I'm going to be launching off the two step like its my job.

Well I have a functioning TC in my car now and a brand new one at home I am going to install. So I will have a spare but I will be pissed if I bust my brand new case lol

I don't plan to dump it (or purpose), but I want to get in some good, hard launches and I am inexperienced so it may happen as I learn by accident. If a quick slip off the two step will make TCs consumable at BPU or 13T power levels, then I will get the billet case.

I had 2-step as well. It will actually help you avoid dumping the clutch too hard because you only have to worry about modulating the clutch pedal. If you're that worried about it and you have the cash for a billet case you can do that to be SURE, but you should be fine without it. At worst, with a brace, if it does break it will just crack and not explode taking your transmission with it.

Edit: when I launched I always tried to chirp the tires (which some may say that's launching too hard), but they were just cheap 245mm Toyo all seasons so they didn't have maximum traction.
