Stainless td05/06 bolt on adapter housing

Doesn't surprise me that buy in will be high for a mold. Bet it was wrx td04 flanged that they were working on.

Individual pricing on a 20pc order using an existing mold was kinda the give-away unfortunately since a 3S-specific set would also have needed to have been sold in pairs as each bank would be a different housing.

Too bad though, would have been cool to have seen something like this. Props to the OP for looking into it.

    Don't pronounce it DOA yet!

Bill @ bullseye is looking into an interesting idea with their foundary

He may possibly be able to modify the factory housing with buildup welding and machining for a conversion, otherwise I'm suggesting this idea to IPS as they have a thread on 3si asking about what products would they like to see/be unique to show they're back in the game.

This sounds like a perfect candidate.

Modify what factory housing? Td05 to bolt on to td04 headers or td04 to accept td05 chra?

I think he is talking about this, however I had this idea at one point. The TD05H turbine wheel is bigger than the TD04 housing itself. If you bored out the 3/s housings you would go right through IIRC.

If it's WRX flanged, might be cheaper to just weld WRX flanges onto factory manifolds (which I've contemplated doing anyhow and using the larger WRX housings instead.) Not sure about the fitment of the bigger housings for TD05 though and if they would interfere with something else (I imagine front motor mount would be the most likely thing.)
