Anyone ever see this? Turbo Backpressure Plate

*NEW* DTT DSM/EVO 8/9 EGR Turbo Back Pressure Plate - evolutionm.net

This probably isn't for everyone, but more for people who are looking to maximize their setups and/or remove bottlenecks this could be an amazing tool if it can be made to work with our IM. I'm still exploring my current setup...still in the very preliminary stage at this point but in the future, if my car keeps my interest, I wouldn't mind doing some testing with TD04 vs other hotside setups...

    Thoughts?

Seems like a waste of time for a td04 setup since there aren't any other housing options to swap on. Just crank up the boost until HP gains start to diminish
    1992 Kilder Green VR4 - First 4G swap in a 3S. 2.0, auto, awd. 9.65 at 143mph. Now LS swapped. 8.52 at 162.

The more I'm looking at big(er) turbo setups, the more I'm leaning towards getting a single turbo HX setup...

Agreed. Unless you really want to just know what the values are, everything has pretty much been documented and tested as far as what nearly any TD04 combination can do and is capable of. The single turbo world hasn't been explored very much and I'm sure testing for that small crowd would be highly appreciated though.

Most with high boost td04 cars would cry if they found out!.

Some people do measure MAP vs EMAP and use this as a seperate fuel trim though..
    GTO-TT, PTE 1200's, M20, Emanage Ultimate, OS Geiken R3C,
    TD04-16g`s, Maf-t. 13g`s 12.4@115mph / 16g`s 12.5@117mph.

A high boost td04 setup is easily 2-3x intake map, in the exhaust.

the pressure post-turbo is about useless except to tell you how restrictive your exhaust is. Doesn't tell you squat about turbine efficiency.

On a dsm, the egr is fed directly from the #4 exhaust port.

Interesting, still doesn't help us. I'd just drill and tap for a standard sensor like the 7.3L diesel has stock, just a map sensor and a tube to keep the heat away and damp it. I'd bet you'll see over 2.5:1 drive pressure on TD04s with the wick turned up. Crossover is hard to get without a turbine large enough to feel super lazy.

Nomie, sounds like you want to join the td05 camp.....as you know, my 14bs do make tq quicker then your 19ts and so far make the same power....low turbine pressure FTW
