    Diamante Climate Control Conversion

Wanting to swap a Diamante DCC into a 91 RT/TT with DCC. Curious if anybody still has the pictures and stuff for doing this.

Evan (Shooter83) did it and posted it on 3SI (and I think Florida3S) but I can't find any of the specific pictures or wiring diagrams for it at this point.

Dave57 also had a thread about doing the 99 DCC into a 91-97, but none of the pictures or instructions are up. His site has them but they're ultra small (I assume so that he can sell the instructions.) Sent him a message but haven't heard back.

At this point have the CC screen and the pig tail, the blower transistor and the ambient air temp sensor which to my knowledge should be all that I need aside from doing the actual wiring. I can get any of the other motors, solenoids, relays, wiring etc from the car if necessary, but without instructions I'm just left guessing.

There is a thread on 3si that shows how to install one but it's onto a car that had manual air con to start with. I have been watching a CC unit from a 99 model on ebay which looks almost identical to the diamante ones. The thing with the 99 models is that they do not have the black controller box. The early unit's have the controller box which then connects to the cc screen/interface unit. The 99 one looks to be an all in one unit. I need to look at the wiring diagram and see if it will simply just plug in in place of the stock unit.

Yeah, couldn't find a wire pin out though to know which goes to which.

The 99 style and Diamante are almost exactly the same unit and that black controller box is indeed integrated as you said. So those wires have to get spliced in as well. Haven't found a wiring diagram for the Diamante though to use it (as it has a few extra features over the 99 DCC.) May have to go back and rewatch the videos Evan posted on youtube of his DCC in operation and carefully compare the wire colors he has spliced together.

interested in this as well. my local JY has 2 Diamantes fresh on their lot with all the DCC parts still there. I would gladly pick up the extra set for someone if I knew exactly which parts were needed.

From what I've been able to look up, minimum requirements are the screen and pigtail (several inches worth), ambient air temp sensor (behind the front bumper attached to the rad support), blower transistor. All of which are easily reachable without removing the dash. Beyond that, the sunlight sensor MAY be necessary, haven't figured out if the 3k one can be used. Additionally the motors for the vents may or may not be different, not entirely sure.

In truth at this point, probably would've been easier to have just pulled and taken the whole damn dash, wiring and AC stuff so I would have it all. I would imagine that you could probably use it all in the 3k without too much trouble. Shooter83 (evan) did it on 3SI, but so far attempts to reach him via 3SI and Youtube have been unsuccessful. Post on the FB group haven't netted any results either, so may just be a trial and error thing unfortunately as I still can't find a wiring diagram for a Diamante to guide me.

This was all I could find, for an 02 Diamante. However it's from Autozone, so not sure how accurate it is or where they get their information so can't be positive to it.

As an added addendum, browsing the diagrams for the 03 Diamante CC, looks like a few wires MIGHT have changed colors between years.

That'd be pretty sweet, be nice if we could get confirmation on the wires.
