It wouldn't be too difficult to relocate the oil cooler a few inches back from the stock location either now that I think about it.

Those thinking of installing Gene/ARC/J.Fast sized side mounted intercooler of might as well consider moving the oil cooler to the front instead. It doesn't take much effort and guarantees a much better airflow.

Those who are on a tight budget can even reuse the stock lines (see the bottom of this page: Stealth 316 - Front-mount oil cooler).

In class so can't link up a bunch of stuff, but you can search some of the other 3S forums, people have posted up 3S specific results with losses of 3+ psi on our platform. Of course, browsing DSM specific forums will likely yield more results with actual numbers for before and afters.

Much obliged sir, thanks for the assist.

At any rate J, I'm hoping to be reassembling my motor (again) around mid to late March, so pending what you think you could do to bring in a smaller set around the 500ish price point, I'd give very heavy consideration to picking up a set of factory style pipes and going back to a stealthy looking (or hiding?) SMIC with a FMOC.

I'd just like a reasonably priced IC set up that doesn't advertise power or mods. Even if it runs me 700-800 to go back to that, I'd rather spend the extra couple hundred over a dual core or dealing with the surge of single core.
