Good job man! Do you have a stock one to set next to it and get pics of that?

Considering most of the 3s community is still under the 5-600hp mark I think it is better to produce something for the masses then the few. 90% of the people on this platform will get no use out of your SMIC "as great as they are" but are looking for a viable SMIC replacement option. Stock SMIC's these days are battered due to age and there are no stock SMIC replacement out there. I'd like to see someone create something as a replacement or slight upgrade to the stock SMIC's
How many guys are interested in this option with $ in hand? If the numbers hit I will consider it. I would like to see 10. Possibly use a 3 x 8 x 8 core...?

If you have a 3.5 x 26 x 12 core it looks like Bell rates that core upwards of 1500cfm.

For you guys running the ETS setup, what are your exact core dimensions? I will update the table with your data when I get off work.
The dimensions I gave you for the ETS are correct at least by the website, and mine.

If the dimensions of your cores are accurate, you are under rating them at 706. Using Bells estimates with smaller dimensions: 4.50 x 8.80 x 8.00 = 742 which yours should be significantly higher in flow.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

Had I not already sold all my factory SMIC and piping, I would've gone that route (with cash in hand.) Definitely think that there's a much bigger market for it. Considering SMIC options are basically OEM, DSM converts (which have serious pressure drop issues), or maybe snagging a set of HKS, Alamo etc used (which rarely pop up) there is a definite market there. I would've gone SMIC in a heart beat to stay stealthy looking and run a big FMOC. Hell, if the pricing works out, I would give serious thought to switching back rather than purchasing a dual core.

I'm thinking the ETS 3000gt core is the same as this : ETS Mitsubishi 2G DSM 3.5" Super Short Route *Clearance* Intercooler Kit
    http://www.theboostlab.com/store/pro...ooler-Kit.html
    26x12x3.0 bar and plate core - 1058cfm / 700 HP
    26x12x3.5 bar and plate core - 1127cfm / 750 HP
26x12x4.0 bar and plate core - 1272cfm / 850 HP at 81% efficiency rating. (This exact core supported 1100hp on the Supra)
    26x12x5.0 bar and plate core - 1596cfm / 1100 HP

As much as I would like too, I have too many things on my plate right now to be able to commit those types of funds. I was making more of a generalized statement.

To get a better feel for it, you may want to start a different thread as to keep it separate from this.

I agree, more than likely they're a bit under rated. I looked for something close when I was speed scanning earlier. I just looked back thru the catalog and it looks like for every 1/4" of core dimension increase on an 3" x 8.80" x 8.00" (495cfm) the cfm increases at a rate of 42. If that's the case I think it's fair to say since my cores are 4.75" thick then the CFM is likely around 785 each.

I will update the table with the updated info you made mention of. Thanks for checking!

My ARC SMICs are about 4x8x8 and retain the stock oil cooler. I think something that size would sell well. Adding tabs to mount the shroud would add value as well.

What exactly is the issue there? Haven't really heard much of anybody saying that about them. Maybe I missed something?

    Anyway, great looking work J!
