im pretty certain one can get these made at bell intercoolers for less money and top notch end tank design...
Looks a lot different when you write it all down doesn't it. I don't think Bell would build it for any cheaper at all actually. Their burden and overhead is much higher. I bet the smaller core setup would cost around $1200 and the larger one would cost $1600. I bet I'm right too

i have heard that their pricing have shooted in the last few years in 2010 they would make the intercooler in the drawings for 480$ each assembled with end tanks. I got my 9.5x10.25x5.2 core dimensions made in england in 2011 for 902$ total and that even included the shipping overseas.

How much is bell retailing those 8x8x6 cores for? I would theink the end tank price would be the same. Same amount of sheet metal or close... Why are the tank inlet and outlet not opposed on that design?

270$ each core. P/N A600081080BB225 is the assembled part number I think. Its the extra piping and if you want them to copy the factory smics is what kills the pricing at bells mucho cheaper to get them made from the drawings w/o extra piping.

the piping is on the same side because imo easier fitment and since the end tank design is good its not necessary to have it on the other side. this is roughly what the smics i got made in the uk look like, the end tank design is even more involved 55mm inlets with flared bases too.

That makes sense. The piping is expensive. Bell still has to maintain their markup on it or else they get margin erosion. Everything on the ticket gets marked up. The less you have on it the less it costs. I'm sure I could build just the cores/tanks for $650-700 with the $200 cores.

I think that is what you should look into doing and offer the piping at extra cost.

That would save a huge headache. I like this idea. That gives guys a chance to purchase in stages and customize their setups individually too.

i wish we could find a supplier for the end tanks now that would make the things really much easier for you.
mayby you could draw something and mail these guys and ask I know there is huge variations in price but it could be a viable option if you buy like 20+ tanks.
