would 9.75" x 11.75" x 4.5" cores fit 1 gens and 97-98 bumpers anyway? my little over 10 wide cores wont fit a 97-98 bumper unless i mount them way back but then there is no room for the piping...

Hmm. I'll look into it. Those look like they would work well. It's still an $850 item if they don't have a prefabbed end tank. In order to bring the cost down for the they need to be cut from a big sheet and optimized for waste. I'm not willing to fund it, not that I can't, but I don't need smic's. I don't have anything to test them on.

Cores for each set are $700, end tanks are $80, piping is $100. I'm basically building these as a favor to a few people that were involved in a bidding war over my last (2) sets of Gene's SMIC's. I told them I would replicate them for the same price. Gene lost his ass on his group buy... I'm a bit wiser and don't steal . I'll do it for cost plus $120 per set.

Price does not include shroud, dual oil cooler or single oil cooler mounts.

sure one could ask around and get cast end tanks made for these in quantity in china for reasonably money much less work for you.
