The reason say a TD04 setup looks like a bellcurve is because the stock cams were made for mid-range power, but even more paramount, the exhaust backpressure is sky high due to the teeny tiny turbine and exhaust housing.
I've got cams..and HL wheels with ported turbine housings(yeah I know they're not big despite being the biggest available in td04 land..lol) despite that still when comparing my dyno charts with yours or any Upgraded Turbo EVO's...it looks pathetic...godamn these cars have bottlenecks at every single point. I wish my tq curve would hold till redline like yours..

Even with bigger hotsides I don't think I can recall any 3/s dynocharts with a decent tq curve...something street-able...

Really nice numbers, and super simple set-up. Well done, as usual.

Nomiez -- HL wheels or not, it's still a teeny tiny TD04 housing choking the exhaust flow. A larger hotside and a proper aftermarket cam will carry TQ just as well if not better. The 6G72 heads are far superior flow-wise compared to a stock 2J head. Have you ever seen the stock ports on a 2J? They're comically small considering the power they make. There are HUGE gains to be had with headwork, but it's absurdly expensive..

    Thanks, Jeremy!

Nomie, put on dr1000-1200, keep your mild cams and put on a well designed short runner intake. The dyno will look just like what you are looking for. Fairly flat tq from 5-7kish. Also if it is stock block evos you are comparing to, they raise boost as rpms rise (induced boost creep) to minimize the tq hit on rods. The DR1000 graph floating around on other site is 800awhp and 6xxtq and looks very similar to hellbringers. You just need bigger turbos and better boost control
    1992 Kilder Green VR4 - First 4G swap in a 3S. 2.0, auto, awd. 9.65 at 143mph. Now LS swapped. 8.52 at 162.

I've been slackin' on the videos but it's been a crazy week.. I'm on the list for a local dyno shootout this Sunday -- if the competition is similar to last year I should take the W. I may bump the boost up to 26psi and see how much deeper into the 700's that takes me. With the WHP/boost gains I'm seeing and the relatively low TQ, I think I should still be well within the margin of safety on the VP110 (on the dyno).

I'll get some good vid on Sunday!
