I need help tuning a TT converted 3000gt with apexi SAFC.

Alright. Let me start off by saying I have read countless guides on the SAFC. It is freaking confusing.

I have the SAFC wired in. I just need some help understanding what settings to use for my application. I'm going to run the stock turbos at wastegate boost with stock 360cc injectors on the stock 10:1 block. I want a reliable tune, nothing over the top or anything that'll damage my engine.

Explain this to me like I'm a child. I know nothing about tuning a car.

    Thanks in advance!

my car is a 1995 3000gt with the NA ECU

Do you have a datalogger that allows you to see everything the ECU sees? How about a wideband oxygen sensor to see the air to fuel ratio in the exhaust? These two things help tremendously and I wouldn't really tune without them.

No I do not. I've been looking at widebands. What datalogger would you recommend?

I do have a narrowband laying around I could install. I heard they're pretty worthless though.

What year car is it? What year ECU? If it's a 1G I actually sell loggers cheap.

The AEM UEGO is an easy to install wideband but the LC-1 is actually more capable, easier to log, and cheaper. (Those are widebands).

Since it is a 1995 you need to get a "hybrid" logger. You can get these from Mirage Corp and maybe another place or two. Kind of expensive but valuable..

I have to get back to studying for the night but I'll try to check this tomorrow and help you out some more if you have more questions.

I'd really like to know how to get my car up and running with just the SAFC. I'm kinda low on cash lol. Any advice is welcome

Mirage Corp logger is a great option. I have a 94 (same "hybrid" issue) and logs very well. You'll find them for relatively cheap in the classified sections of the various 3S forums.
