Zoinks... Camaro Z28 beats the LFA on the ring...

2014 Chevy Camaro Z/28 clocks 7:37.47 Nürburgring lap time - Autoblog

To put that into larger context, that makes the new Z/28 faster than the latest Porsche 911 Carrera S, faster than the Lexus LFA, faster than the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Lamborghini Murcielago, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and SLS AMG. That also makes the new Camaro Z/28 faster around the Nordschleife than any other American metal this side of a Viper or Vette. Now that's some serious muscle indeed. Check out the video below.

Seems pretty unbelievable. Especially considering it beat out an F430 Scuderia, SLS AMG, Lexus LFA, etc. Just must have been ideal conditions or something.

Wow that is crazy! That driver has some balls, too.

Edit: 305MM tires up front! Chevy says at least 500 HP..

I would not have had the balls to keep pushing that hard after the rain started coming down!

Think of the time lost due to the pucker he had when it did come down. You could tell she got squirrely!

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

Too bad it's still a Camaro... those things are ugly and every Tom, Dick, and Jane has one.

Well then they can't be that ugly. I think they look pretty sharp.

It's the best bang for your buck really... and well it's iconic. It's still ugly IMO. However, I would gladly own a 1969 Camaro or a CTS-V, the only GM vehicles I like.

Has it been confirmed that the production car will still lack an audio system, sound deadening, air conditioning, etc?

Also do we have a sticker price for this thing yet, all I have heard is that it will be more expensive than the ZL1.
