The other 3 are the same. I don't think you can flip them around as the cams have a locating pin on the end. I put the sprockets on the cams first and then installed them in the heads and torqued the caps

Yeah they can be flipped... the pins go in just the same. I looked at them again an noticed the dimples were on the back. I need to clean up the front valve cover before putting the gasket on. Wonder if regular stove wrinkle finish will work. When I had the heads cleaned, VSS replaced, and surfaced they jet washed the covers for me. The wrinkle finish didn't hold up but some of the dirt did. Strange..
I need to look at this again in the morning as I think I might have messed up. I believe you have to put the shields on before the gears, the three metal ones.
The dimples need to be on the fronts and yes the 3 shields have to go on before the gears.
Giving my torque wrench a work out I am.
Well I got the rocker covers on all seals and some of the sensors installed. But when getting ready to install the lower intake manifold I noticed some of the mounts have black inserts and others dont. When I look in ASA I don't see this part, does each one of the mounts have a insert?
The lower intake mounts use the springs and nuts. I think what you need is the spacers for the fuel rails which is MD095402. There are supposed to be 4 of them.

Those seal the injector to the intake. You should replace them anyway.

Power Steering Rack Update: Finally got the steering wheel lined up. When I put all the new hardware in and swapped the rack for new there were no marks or keying to get the steering wheel lined up. So to get it right I straightened the wheels by eye with the column detached. Next I centered the steering wheel and attached the column. After putting the steering column bolt on I checked the lock to lock, it was 1.6ish turns to the right and 1.4ish to the left. Next I straightened the wheel back up and confirmed the wheels were centered, then I removed the steering wheel. After setting the clock spring to it's neutral point by lining up the arrows I put the wheel back on a few splines to the left. After tightening the wheel enough to keep it on the spline I checked, the wheel is spot on 1.5 each way or at least close enough they should be able to adjust it out.

Making pretty good progress. Ive got the timing belt and all new hardware installed with the new water pump. Replaced all three seals on the injectors and fuel rail. Reinstalled the gas tank, filler neck and hardware which just came back from powder coating I stripped it and had it zinc primer with satin black done. Bolted the ABS Modulous back on the car with the new bracket which I also stripped and did the two coat powder coat on. Also got several of the brackets on the engine. Making good progress but just not feel well these last few days. This is my third week off from work, hope I get over this funk before next week. Just trying to get as many brackets and bolts back on the car, it's really amazing how much stuff is on this car. But the piles are slowly going down.
