    Two into One, saving a 97 VR4.

It's been sitting in my back yard for 5 years. Bought it with driver side front end damage, smashed windshield, airbags deployed for 3k in 2008. Had the idea to put the engine into my 92 VR4 that I had blown the engine in 2007, part out the rest of the 97. Well, life got in the way(Put a son and daughter through UCLA, Go Bruins)! So now just getting around to getting at least the 97 back on the road. It had frame damage but as luck would have it I found a 97 VR4 good chassis so let the transfer of parts begin. Had to decide which to save, the 97 or 92. The 97 is costing more as compared to getting the 92 going. Wife and daughter don't like it but what do they know. So I have parts coming in from all over the place. Headlights coming Monday, picked up the front bumper from the dealer last week. The 97 had 156k on it but was well taken care of until the kid drove it into the side of a hill. Plan to gut the precats, put stage 2 clutch with lightweight flywheel, Tanabe cat back, keep stock 9bs, 3sx fuel rail loop, Enkei Raijin 18 x 8.5 35+ rims, Porterfield slotted rotors with Porterfield A4 shoes, and Paint. May put in DP down the road depending on how itchy my foot gets. That is all for now, hope to post more.
