    5 speed swap help

hey guys so im doing a 5 speed swap and i have a few questions on which parts to use.

my car is a 96 3000gt sl with a blown atx and i picked up a 91 stealth es parts car with a 5 speed.

I plan on taking the 5 speed out of the 91 stealth and putting it into my 96 3000gt and im wondering will all the parts like cv shafts, intermediate shaft, transmission mounts, etc be the same or will i have to use the ones off of the stealth

also would like to know if there may be any other differences between the 91 and 96 transmissions i should know about before i get started on the swap

You need to use the CV's and intermediate off the Stealth. The 91's have a smaller differential which means smaller shafts on the axles.

ok thanks for the quick reply! so the difference in the transmissions is the size of the splines in the differential? and would it be beneficial for me to swap the diff out of the 2nd gen atx into the mtx? or is there no difference in the strength of axles.

I believe, but don't quote me on this, that the MTX differential and ATX differential are not interchangeable.
