Fuel Kits v. Complete + Cost Effective

As my last post described, I've been gone for many years. Who offers the most complete/best kit. I have the stock fuel filter, and lines including the FPR. Pretty sure the filter and or FPR are failing at this point from 4 years of e85. I'm hoping for black/silver fittings with black lines. Would love to get a stainless steel filter in place.

Should I expect to spend 500? I feel like such a noob, haha. I used to know all these things inside and out back in college. Getting older and being adult sucks! And of course now my schedule doesn't allow for hours of researching and reading.

Depends on how extensive you want to go. I'd say Chris @ Ninja Performance - Affordable Performance Auto Parts has the best pre-made kits out there. If you want just the lines to re-do pretty much everything I have them for sale, but I'm not going to shamelessly plug that.

I'd also recommend PTFE lines, because as an adult (like you previously mentioned) the smell of fuel vapor escaping from the lines would probably be an annoyance to you. A lot of people like the ProClassic lines, which would fit with your color scheme. In the end its up to how much you want to replace/what design you want to go with.

Haha, I like your edit. Actually I've known chris for years, and he's ridden in my car a couple times and we've had steak and shake.

The PTFE lines look good to me. I don't mind the stock fuel lines up to the filter, but want everything in the engine bay swapped out (feed and AFPR setup). I think I like the AFPR off the rail versus on the firewall. Will keep digging into it.

Also, you should know that there's a new in-tank walbro out with a turbine design instead of gerotor pump. I think it's something like 400 LPH (?).

would be a good time to get a new line run and use the stock feed as a return, if you're going to go thru the trouble of taking everything apart.

Just found some receipts. I put a new pump, bulkhead fitting, line to the filter, new filter, line to the rail, adapters for the rails, line to FPR, FPR, and used regular hose from the FPR to the stock feed and regular hose from the stock feed to the stock return nipple.

Aeroquip -6AN SS braided teflon conductive fuel line with required hose ends (black/silver) $260
    Fuel lab -6AN 3" filter $110
    Fuel lab FPR (used) $150
    Fuel rail adapters $50
    Deatschwerks 300LPH pump $150
    -6AN bulkhead $10
Submersible line from pump to bulkhead $15
Autometer FP gauge on FPR $35
    Total $780

I also got some braided nylon sheath to keep the metal braid from scratching stuff but that was only a few bucks (don't have a receipt for that).

Pretty expensive but this should last me a long time. No replacing random stock components as they wear out/etc. unless the stock feed rusts (doubtful). Also no risk of fire from static, no fuel smell, etc. I bought the pump before I knew about the 400 Wally or I may have gotten that.

    Well, quick and dirty:
Walbro 400lph E85 compatible is ~200 with install kit.
AN fittings would run you around 50ish I think
AEM on rail FPR, adapters and FP gauge 200
    Stainless filter is around 100ish.
Then however much hose you need (I imagine between 6-10 feet, so probably 50 bucks worth of PTFE lined hose).

Or around 450ish for Ninja's combo of lines, stainless filter, FPR, etc (Aeromotive I think?) then throw another 200 at it for the Wally 400lph. Of course if your fuel hat is in rough shape, you can convert it to AN fittings from the hat to the hardline would be around 80-90ish. Really just depends on how big you need and how much you want to spend.

How much power are you planning to support? Stock lines/filter are currently making little over 650 wheel on e85 on Rays car with a single Wally 400...
