    IOS7 making people motion sick

Sounds like an update is in order lol We've sold quite a few of the 5s and 5c's now and most just complain that the new OS looks very childish like a kids coloring book. Haven't had any motion sickness complaints yet. Popular opinion from all of us that work here is bad overall. It really does look a fairy princess wonderland OS.

I'm no expert, but my first impression was that it is more of the typical Droid/generic smartphone style, and that it caters to females.

So, since you work at a carrier, I imagine you must be aware that you can turn the parallax and other motion effects off, right?

Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion

Also, if the fruity pebble look just isn't for you, one of the nice things about iOS 7 is that the theme of the OS customizes itself based on your selected background. Don't want a colorful OS? Use a background like this:

    Background_Test.jpg

And your OS will reflect it:

    2013-09-26 16.33.42.jpg2013-09-26 16.33.23.jpg

I think overall the OS takes a little getting used to. Everyone *I've* talked to about it wasn't sure about it at first, but when you go back to an iOS 6 device, iOS 6 feels noticeably outdated. The new look tends to grow on you -- unless you're predisposed against Apple products to begin with.

Most of our apple customers are older people or local business owners who just want the newest iPhone. They don't know much about phones and just want something simple and easy to use so we don't get very many complaints. Yes we know about reducing the animations but we haven't had anyone complain about the animations yet. The only complaints we've seen are about the default upgrade color scheme on our display models.

Funny you mention the background. I couldn't tell you how many phones (apple, android, basic phones) we see come in here that have the default wallpaper on them from when they first got the phone. It's probably our demographic. We are the #2 WirelessZone store in the nation for activations but remain in the bottom 5 for smartphone upgrades.

That being said, we all found it kinda funny that the vanilla IOS7 makes some people physically sick.

If you're predisposed against Apple products why would you rush into installing iOS7? For that matter why would you be using an Apple product at all? That said, if you're not the one using the device, who gives a damn what the OS looks like? I don't understand fanboys.

For the record, I think the fact that the OS adapts to your background is awesome. I've had a few wallpapers on my phone (Android) that made it very difficult to read the icon text because there was no contrast.

I am in the minority, and LOVE the update. The short cuts, and other changes are welcomed by this user.

Oh! The frosting on the cake is that iOs7 has sensing technology now that senses when diped in water, and shuts power down before failure!

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!
