I actually did go see black panther a week or so ago. I'll give it about a 7/10, even though I know all the critics are agog over this movie.
1. It's like they took every iconic thing from every possible distinct African culture and steamrolled them into 1 movie (nay, one people/nation). This smacks of irony to me, since the entire push of recent events has been for more emphasis on "black history" and a separate, distinguished "cultural heritage" for "black america". So rather than take umbrage at a movie that is a plethora of visible cliches and at how it muddles the distinct cultures of an entire continent into a lone set of people--Hollywood & "black america" is rejoicing over a movie that has nothing to celebrate over except for the SJW goal of a black cast in a tentpole movie.
2. Irony further strikes when the story of the movie unfolds to multiple events of black on black violence & a perpetual undertone of "armed resistance to oppression". Ironic because it both portrays the major problem black culture in America faces at this very moment (self-inflicted violence/socially-unacceptable action/s), and misapprehends the entire situation as somehow being the fault of "the man" who is "keeping the black people down". Of course the movie is very careful never to say "white people", but I think it's fairly well implied. If you knew nothing of the world at large, you'd think the entirety of blacks everywhere were still enslaved.
3. So rather than spending a few snippets of the movie delving into the unpopular topic of why black culture is keeping black culture down--the movie takes the cheap/easy way out by pandering to the SJW ideology of reparations, armed resistance against "white privilege", etc. It becomes a caricature for black culture in doing so; ironically making an accurate portrayal of the wheel-spinning that occurs on a daily basis.

The outline of this article could be easily modified to fit "slavery in the 18th and 19th centuries"; it's hardly a one-sided, unilateral action.
By all means, go watch Black Panther. But be prepared to be force fed the "message" that hollywood wants you to ingest.
How to Train Your Dragon. solid 7/10. I want to say 8 but for some reason I feel like that's a bit to much.
nice story, pretty funny and an over all easy watch. it was on HBO over the weekend and I had some time to kill.
Spiderman: Homecoming. 7/10. Decent, nothing special.
Holland is better than McGuire, but I still prefer Garfield to either.
passed on that SJW affirmative action hire of a movie.
Wasn't nearly as bad as watching ST. God that show is dripping with SJW bullshit.
ST???
Star Trek Discovery.
