Yes. I joined the ANG. VERY long story. This country can't strategize its way out of a paper bag.

    /derail.

Wonderwoman. 9/10. I agree with Alan--it is by far the best of the DC movies. It's only a notch behind Kingsman for sheer enjoyability & pleasure.

Not quite. Alien & Prometheus were great. The former about people on a routine mission & all hell breaking loose. The latter about people trying to discover the origin of the species, and all hell breaking loose. Not a lot of direct tie-ins between the two..but enough to make it clear that we're seeing two fleeting glimpses of different areas of one huge picture (background story).

Aliens, Alien Resurrection and AVP were the action counterparts to this story. Aliens & Alien Resurrection (unlike Alien an Prometheus) you had heavily armed personnel who were dealing with a xenomorph problem. In AVP, the armed personel were Predators instead of humans. AVP was also action oriented--but didn't have the depth it should have (Predators dying WAY too quickly) and the sequel totally shat on where AVP left off--so the entire promise died there.

Alien 3 and Alien Covenant have a lot more in common. Complete disconnect from the others. They start by killing off all the cast from the previous movies (minus Ripley). There's no tie-ins. No continuity. Just suspense, people dying, and cliches.

...and then there's AVP: Requiem. Which is just a lame excuse to make a low-budget slasher movie by slapping "AVP" on it.

Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

    Wonder Woman. 8/10.

Good but not great. I was happy to see it not go all over the top feminazi/girl power. only one BS SJW line in the whole movie that I noticed so over all I was pleased.

    Dunkirk.

8.5/10. could have used a little more dialogue but that's about it. I've decided that I like pretty much anything Nolan does.

Saw this Saturday. Agree with the too much comedy comment. The marvel movies are typically good about putting a reasonable amount of comedy into their movies but this level was just disruptive to the story.

I'm gonna disagree and say Wonder Woman was at least a 9/10 and Dunkirk was barely a 7/10. Wonder Woman is easily the best DC movie ever made--and I like Burton's Batman movies. Dunkirk wasn't as descriptive as I was wanting/hoping for. Yes it's great to cover how so many were evacuated. It would have been better to cover the story of all the men/units who were NOT evacuated--intentionally--so that everyone else could get away. That would have made for a much more gripping story.
