I knew what you meant. I haven't seen that one...I have it on my HDD, I just haven't watched it yet. The 1996 one is about people who like having sex in car wrecks...which makes the title make more sense.

    Space Cowboys. 7.5/10.

Yes, it is a little dated (2000) and yes, I am just now watching it for the first time. It has an excellent cast with Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, James Garner, and Donald Sutherland. Easy to watch, despite the length (2.5 hrs). Nice humor and decent story until, IMO, the last fifth of the movie or so.

I'd agree with your description. I'd still give it higher marks. Compared to a lot of what's been passed off as "movies" lately, I'd have to give it at least an 8 or 8.5.

I enjoyed space cowboys in the theater when it came out. i'd agree with the solid 7.5/11, though the last bits of the movie got a bit hokey.

    overall, still good entertainment

Starred Up. 6/10. I don't like prison movies as a general rule. This one didn't have the over-dramatized hollywood scripting so typical of other prison movies i've seen (Green mile, Shawshank Redemption, Lock Up, Death Warrant, etc). Has to hold the record for number of f-bombs used in any one movie. I'm pretty sure Wolf of Wall Street looks puritannical compared to the language in this film. Somewhat interesting angle on things--if you like prison movies.

I don't know if it counts but I watched Mike Tyson's Undisputed Truth last night 7/10. real interesting to hear about everything from himself and about his crazy behavior in the past. basically Don King and drugs ruined him pretty good. very likeable guy and pretty funny to boot.

Yeah. Don King and Dana White have a special place in hell reserved.

    GODZILLA

was a fun movie, reminded me a lot of old monster movies (which was part of the director's intent; felt like old godzilla movies, king kong, jaws, etc.). good effects, good length for what it was. if you like old action and old monster movies, go see it.
10000000000000x better than Hollywood's 1998's GINO (Godzilla In Name Only) attempt at Godzilla.
