OK I won't lie I wanted to kill the kid the whole time to but I think that was the point the film maker was trying to get across.

The whole theme is a little bad here is for the greater good and when the kid opposes the view the film maker shows that its better to have the overall bad instead of trying to improve on the bad

Pacific Rim: 7/10. I actually liked it, plot holes and goofs and all. Less story and more big things knocking the crap outta each other would be nice. Also it has a black 3000GT 2G VR4 in it on spyder rims in it.

    Frozen (in 2D). 8/10.

I'll preface this with the fact that I'm a Disney fanboy. That said, it is obviously good for the kiddies and I had very little to complain about. The story is interesting and most of the characters are very likeable. I think the soundtrack could have been a little better but it's hard to judge it off of the one experience. Strays from the typical love story in a good way, IMO.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. 7/10.

Pleased with how the direction filled the movie with details and characters that tie this trilogy together with LOTR. Much less childish than the first movie. The stage is very well set for the third installation. Oh, and Evangeline Lilly. 'Nough said.

    A Late Quartet. 7.5/10.

Not what I expected but well worth the watch. The cast is spot on and the performances reflect that. Could have used a little more cowbell.

    atlas shrugged part 1: 10/10
    atlas shrugged part 2: 10/10

ok, i get that the cast changed completely. MAJOR props on getting these movies made--especially with the colossal liberal hollywood wackjobs trying to prevent it from seeing the light of day. i'm excited for part 3. sad that it ended up being a 3 parter...but ok. i'd bring up theming and philosophy...but alan refuses to un-ban me from the politics section.

cannibal the musical: 3/10. only something that die-hard trey parker / matt stone fans should watch. i have seen much worse movies though.

haywire: 8/10. i didn't think the acting was bad...just the plot. too many unanswered questions at times, and not quite enough character development. i do love me some gina carano though...

the invisible war: 9/10. documentary about sexual assault in the US military. i think it could have expanded more on solutions, rather than just focusing on the problem/what has already happened. it really brings home how much the military has tried to band-aid the sexual-assault problem for decades. what pissed me off (personally) is knowing that there are some of these predators still in the military...who may well get promoted over/instead of me. that being the case, it really drives home how broken parts of the system really are.
