All the ones I know are dudes, including my next door neighbor, but the business is pure corruption. Their job is basically lie to doctors and give them shit tons of free shit to make them give you shit that's not in your best interest. Chances are, if a doc prescribes you something, there is a nearly identical drug that is 1/4 the price, has less side effects, and is more effective at treating whatever you have. They blame doctors and junkies for the opioid thing, but the entire problem is the fault of pharmareps who convince docs with money to hand it out like candy and they told the docs it has less side effects and addiction qualities than Tylenol. Now we have millions of idiots without self control buying heroin non-stop overdosing at stoplights with their kids in the back seat (true story, happened twice here in the past few months).


Since this is a movie thread, I'll point you to a movie called "love and other drugs". Not my kinda movie but you'd be surprised how much of the pharmarep shit actually happens. Also, has bewbs all in it, almost worth trying not to commit suicide watching it.

Drug advertising should be illegal, imho. That would solve about 90% of the problem.

I know a guy that was a recruiter for a pharma company. he said they basically do all their recruiting at college cheer-leading camps and sorority functions. I asked about getting into it myself since it's so lucrative he said, "maybe for another company but not mine. we only hire hot women.". so much for equality right.

Just watched "Downsizing" with Matt Damon. Quite possibly the worst movie I've ever watched. The whole premise of shrinking himself down to 5 inches tall had no bearing on the story, the whole story would have been the same if he didn't "Downsize". Christoph Waltz was unlikable, which is sad, because he usually is a likable actor.
