    Thank you!

Found another issue today when I knocked a fuel rail isolator under the lower plenum and water pipe: Leaked coolant from the passenger side of the pipe. Looks like I'll have to pull stuff off and replace it. Oh well, better to find out now than later.

Got the waterneck and stuff off, sure enough there was a nick in the o ring. Going to need to get another one. Ugh. Would switch the waterneck over to AN- stuff now, but just can't afford the cost of the hoses and fittings. I have a spare waterneck I will be converting this winter/spring to do that.
Also, need to find an appropriately size o-ring for the AEM FPR in viton, not sure the one I installed is right given viton compresses differently than the standard rubber.

    Progress today:
    Painted oil pan

    Shaved antenna:

Mock up of fuel pressure gauge and AFPR:

Small cut on the o ring that caused the coolant leak:

Where I had to leave off:

Placed an order with Ninja for new gaskets for the waterneck stuff as well as new braided oil return lines. Going to have to wait for that to get in to wrap up the top end.

Thanks! Got the idea to do silver from you. Worried it might have been a bit much since the trans and block are both painted the same case aluminum color, but I just liked the idea of a nice bright pan to spot leaks on.

Yeah, takes 2 or 3 days for me, odd position related to them as far as post office goes. Ironically, I get mail from California in 2 days.

Ordered a couple more parts that I hadn't originally planned on, like the 99 style coolant reservoir, and decided to convert my spare fuel hat over to AN fittings. Added a couple hundred bucks to the expenses, but just feel much better with AN fittings for the fuel hat knowing it's full fuel flow, and the 99 style reservoir should allow more clearance for the FMIC piping in the corner of the engine bay. May convert and sell the other fuel hat, make a little money doing the conversion for folks, or doing it on a core exchange basis.

Also snagged some viton o rings for my 880cc injectors, 1.50 for 10+ of them :P Always nice.

Cool project. On a budget myself to so nice to see and get some new ideas.

with 880cc injectors you might want to upgrade the fuelrail loop for even pressure over the banks no?

I do need to, eventually, however it shouldn't be absolutely vital until I start tuning and turning up the boost. It is on my list of things to change once the car is drivable though. Especially since it's very easy to change without having to remove a bunch of stuff.

Drove a couple hours last night to pick up a complete 2g TT brake conversion (including hubs, knuckles, etc) and a hoop spoiler for a total of $200. So far this afternoon I've taken the driver side CV shaft out and dropped the complete control arm and brakes off of that side as I will be pulling the motor back out to do the oil pan and turbo return lines since I'm not supposed to be working on my back. Found my ball joints are shot, so they will be getting replaced before the car is back on the road, and may also replace the bushings for the control arms with poly. Not sure what kind of difference it will make without swapping the subframe bushings out with poly or solids as well though.

Also have to drop the FMIC about 1/4"-1/2" to clear the coolant reservoir, as well as do some trimming on the metal bar I have holding the FMIC up. Doesn't need much to clear though, so quite happy about that.
