    TC Sight Plug Thread Size

Anyone know the thread size of the TC sight plug?
The threads on my TC cover are stripped, I think I am going to try a helicoil.

It's a 10MMx1.00 extra fine thread bolt. That might be hard to find in a Helicoil kit, though. GL!

Wow, 10x1 and and 1.25? I guess that makes sense, its so thin.

    Thanks a lot.

I don't know what length you'll need for the threads. The bolt is an M10x1.00 (size & thread pitch), but I don't specifically know the length (it was very shallow, though).

I know that my cover has threads throughout that entire opening where the plug threads into it, so I would think a standard length Heli-Coil kit would work (worse case scenario is you might have to use a cut-off wheel on some of the threads).

You could use a Wurth timesert (far superior to a helicoil in my opinion), with this you can get an M10x1.25 or M10x1.5 as the hole is drilled and tapped to accept the insert..
