Anyone pictures IAT and MAP sensor install?

Hey guys new member here. I've been through a learning process with this car. I havnt worked on to many cars and I bought this thinking I was going to just replace the turbo and go. Well long story short that didn't happen. I pulled the engine and had forged internals installed and many other mods. But anyways I have gotten the car running and I have to install the IAT and Map sensor. People are saying to drill a hole in the plenum before the throttle body and install there? I was just wondering if you guys would have any pictures of where you guys installed yours so I can be positive I just want to do it correct the first time. Thanks

Run the MAP via vac hose from the intake plenum, have an aluminum bung welded about 5-10" away from the TB. I believe the bung is 3/8.

You can see where I had mine in this picture, to the left of the BOV.

Here on the firewall you can see where I mounted the MAP sensor. Please excuse the condition of the engine bay, I never got around to cleaning/restoring it.

+1 on what he said. Mine is pretty much the same, even tho I am not using either sensor these days with the chromed ECU. You don't want to screw the IAT directly into the plenum, as it will heat soak and give inaccurate readings. I guess the MAP sensor could be, as long as it not going to physically interfere with anything else, or get in the way when you remove the upper plenum.

Yeah I was planning on doing the map sensor on a vacuum line I feel its safer for me I really didn't want to drill into the intake

I have my IAT screwed into the plenum. Use a phenolic spacer and you shouldn't have too many worries of heat soak.
