Hey any of you gearheads know the baseline preload for the wastegates?

i would personally say stock wastegate springs are 6.5 psi. thats what it is on mine, and another friends car. mine has an electronic boost gauge, whereas my friends is mechanical. both 6.5psi.

but whats 1.5 psi between friends? not much. either way the stock wastegate spring is set for low boost.

There`s no documented pre-load or setup listed in the manual for the actuators, I go by feel. they need to be snug, probably 2mm of movement of the actuator rod from flapper closed should be about right when adjusting the rods.

    Thanks for the response guys-
Yes, the FSM's do leave you going by feel in a number of areas-
I did come across an old post by RobBeck stating a minimum 3 turns from zero preload, worked out to be about the 2mm.
