    I know that I, personally, got an understanding of derivatives and integrals from being taught what they mean graphically. Shows the correlation between your function, first and second derivative, as well as the integral. Actually was somewhat entertaining to learn (NERD!!!).

    Vantage you have any other things we could help with other than the petty 'interpreting' which is definitely just something your teacher does to be a wiener.

    I do actually and if you guys don't mind, the more ways I can see something explained they better I think.

    I understand that integrals are just the area under the graph, with the areas below the x-axis subtracted from that above, but even when I try to calculate the integral my numbers don't seem to come close to the solution they have(in blue). Part A is where I'm kind of lost, b is easy and C is kinda eh for me as well.

    Alright gents, time for round 2. We're on fall break so no one is around and as usual, the book is far from clear.

    The top C & k are correct but I only have 2 tries left to get the bottom 2 correct so I'm trying to slow my roll with the guess and check. Am I just taking the second anti-derivative there? But wouldn't that then be d''Q/dt?

    Q(t)=C*e^(k*t)
    dQ/dt=k*C*e^(k*t)
    C=Constant

    If dQ/dt=-.02*Q(t) and Q(t) is above then k*Q(t)=-.02*Q(t)

    k=-.02

    You have it right. Are we sure the online site is formatted properly and isn't falsely giving you two options?

    Weird.

    Still doesn't make sense because C cancels out!
