    Radiator Temp Sensor Harness

Anyone willing to do me a favor and take a look at their temp sensor harness? Is it a part of the factory PS fan wiring or is it independent?

From what I see in ASA and what I remember from my old car I believe they are part of the fan wiring, but every picture of a fan for sale I cannot locate the connectors in the picture.

Yes it's part of the fan harness... But it doesn't exist on a 2nd gen, so if you're finding pics of 2nd gen fans, it won't be there...

You're saying that the 2gen's had it wired into the main harness, or that they did not have any radiator temp sensors?

2nd gens don't have the sensors... The fans are commanded by the ECU.

Thanks McCoy, I don't know what the hell I'm doing anymore.

This is what was confusing me in ASA:

ASA illustrations are usually pretty good, but not in this case... There is no differentiation in the pic between 1st and send gen, and it really doesn't look like either part....

The 1at gen motor assembly has a 6 pin harness plug, a connector halfway down to the resistor, and two connectors to the fan switches. The 2nd gen has a 4pin connector up top, with the resistor connection in the middle, but no other connectors.

I just dicked around with my fan harness since I was running into problems. The fan harness is prettymuch an entirely seperate system with how it works; however, some of the wires may be bundled together with the main harness. I know mine was wrapped together.
