Euro Spec '99 Flashable ECU in a '91 GTO

I am in the process of installing a Euro Spec '99 ECU (MD360029) into my '91 Jap import GTO.

I have adapted a boomslang patch harness to enable me to do this, wired in with a OBD2 port using information from here, among other places.

I can now read and write to the ecu, but cannot get it to fire up.

I have disabled the immobiler by changing the code to FFFF and the ECU Periphery bit 03 to 0(is this correct????)

One strange thing I have found is the rpm limit is set to 288461.5384615384rpm???????

I can re-flash it to 7212rpm but it's really odd!!

Anyone got any advice what to check etc???

I will be re-checking my patch harness, going through each pin to confirm it's all wired up correctly.

most likely the immobilizer that's giving you a hard time if the car isn't cranking up.

ask blackstealth what to do with the code he knows.

I have the same ecu and that was the problem for me. blackstealth helped disabling the immobilizer.

I can always send you my files if you want.

I ended up going to an earlier version of ecuflash, and used file that already had the immobilser disabled.
Even that one had a stupid number as rev limit, but corrected that, and all is well.
    Runs just fine now.
I will keep it at 360cc injectors for a bit, until I am happy it's reliable, then the 560cc evo injectors go in.
    Many Thanks

And no, I will not pass it around
Thanks for emailing me though, but got it sorted without it.
