1st 1000 BHP car in Europe

For those that haven't heard, my car was mapped on Friday after the Eurospec lads pulling an all nightwear to get it running in time for TOTB. Thanks guys.

We did a quick run on what V Power remained from running it in. The run was at its minimum boost of 1.1 Bar (odd as it is supposed to have 1.5 Bar wastegate springs) and minus 5° of timing. It made 674.9 BHP and 500 ftlbs of torque. That is the MINIMUM power I can run! We'll map for road fuel when we have more time

In with the race gas and here goes nothing. To cut a long story short, we stopped mapping at 2.2 Bar and only 11° of timing as we had cracked the 1000 mark with 1006 BHP and 960 ftlbs. :twisted: It ws felt that there should be about 0.5 Bar plus quite a bit more timing that can be added later on!

I decided to stop there and 'learn' the car before going for more.

Records were set for 1st in Europe to crack 1000 BHP, Europe's most powerful 3S, the Eurospec dyno, Mark Shead's most powerful car.

There will be another thread on this shortly, bear with me as there has been a distinct lack of sleep due to building, mapping and then racing all weekend. Let's just say there were 2 more European records set!
