    1992 Stealth RT/TT $24,000 OBO

    1992 $ 24,000 OBO

It's with mixed emotions that I've decided to sell my Stealth. I've owned it since 1993, by far the longest I've owned any car, so it will definitely feel very strange once it's gone. I've had great fun with it and it's given me the opportunity to learn more about cars than I would have thought possible!

Here are the details – it’s a 1992 Black Stealth RT / Twin Turbo with 182,000 miles. I'm the second owner, purchased it for $30,000 in 1993 with 20,000 miles. It was one of the original Hennessey modified Stealths. No accidents, garaged, original paint, and regularly maintained. Body, interior and engine bay are in excellent condition. There are a couple of items to be aware of that I can give you the details on if you’re interested in purchasing.

It has over $70,000 invested in modifications. It was dyno tuned by Horespower Freaks in 2005 at 510 awhp at 22psi boost. It has won multiple Regional and National car show trophies over the years. It’s been in a couple of the annual 3S calendars and was featured in the 3S magazine that was published a few years ago. I know some of you on the board are familiar with the car.

I’ve attached the full modifications list, dyno sheet, and a couple of photos. Here are a few highlights of some of the major modifications and recent maintenance.

I finally moved on to something more appropriate for a senior citizen – a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport! But I only have garage space for one sports car.

Need to find it a good home - make me an offer if you're interested (originally priced at $24,500).

If you’re interested, send me a PM or give me a call at 913-302-2561.
    Thanks,
    Jim

If GT-Pro built it they must have had you pay to fix the engine a couple times over.

I am very curious to see this as well. $40k engine build could put you at 1,000+ HP.

I also am curious, it better be a completely new billet block for 40k. I've built 10k dollar engines but 40k... seems kinda ridiculous for a 6G72.

well, I assume he's referring to:
fully BUILT engine internals, new set of turbos and ALL supporting hardware custom manifolds and all that, Intercooler + piping, + LABOR. From a good shop. You can see how done right, he could have spent $40K there.

Awesome car man, I know it must be tight and incredible despite the total mileage the chassis has been driven.

Let's not forget that he listed the build was done by Hennessey in 2001. Back then things were a lot different as far as options for modding and the philosophy of doing big power builds. Nowadays you can just slap some big turbos on a tired engine and get big power.. for awhile.
