Wow. That's out trapping my buddies 97. I think a greddy t78 and aem running more boost.
Edit. Nvm. Same trap. Still amazing considering the 7 psi less boost

97 VR4 12.41 on stock turbos
91 MR2 13.80 at stock boost
91 stealth TT with a couple bolt ons
and a laundry list of others....
Hard to point the finger at a John Reed tune. Still... Something is off if he's only trapping 125MPH. Hell I trapped 120MPH on the stock twins in 97* heat at 19-20psi.
Figured I'd up this thread with my latest progress:
Dyno'd 2/14/11 on 3SX's purportedly "stingy" SuperFlow dyno.
Relevant power mods are:
RPS turbo kit w/ 3" recirculated downpipe
ITS Progate 42mm wastegate
ITS GT72 (72mm) watercooled Q-trim .70ar
HKS Carbon Ti (95mm version)
GReddy 3-row FMIC
RKS Powersystems fuel system w/ twin Walbros & 75lb injectors
VPC/SAFCII/Gforce ECU
HKS DLI
Blitz DSBC
Original stock longblock w/ 58k miles
Built and tuned be me.
All pulls done on VP C16
1st pull right off the highway; 21psi and extremely rich:
24psi:
28psi (boost issue at 6600RPM):
*NOTE -- I started to have some boost issues that ended up being a loose vacuum line on my EBC solenoid
29psi dropping to 28psi (more EBC issues):
Next pull I blew the vacuum line off the EBC solenoid. Corrected that, which corrected the none-user-error issues (see below). We let the car cool down for a bit.
Here's what happens when you forget to raise the limiter on your EBC (blew the only cool pass on the car) -- 30psi (attempted):
Corrected that and put down this:
UNCORRECTED:
I was tuning for 11.8 at WOT but most pulls after some tuning ended up around 11.4 - 11.5 which was fine with me. I think I could have picked up another 15-20RWHP leaned out to 12.2 or so. My experience is the C16 likes to run at 12 or slightly above. I wanted to err on the side of caution, though.
Switching to a larger AR turbine housing should net another 30-40RWHP. The .70 is hurting me up top, but I love having 30psi at 4600RPM on the street. It's absolutely ridiculous on the street! Next up will be cams, springs, retainers - that should get me near 800RWHP all-boost. I'm considering a 50 shot as the icing to the cake.
TRD diff is installation installation is underway. I've got 27x10.5x16 ET Streets and some 16" CCW skinnies for the business. First track visit is 3/12!

Hey Abram, are you going to Zmax on March 19? It is a NC/SC dsm, evo meet up going on. I think it's 20 dollars for unlimited runs. I'll be there on my Buell probably, see if it has anything for your Supra![]()
Very nice numbers!

I might go to zMAX on 3/19. I will definitely be at Rockingham the weekend before, though. zMAX absolutely SUCKS for test n tunes -- the lines are painfully long, track prep is non-existent and they do not do a good job of cleaning up after someone breaks. Every time I've been to zMAX it's been a frustrating disappointment.
